Project Time Work

I found that photoshop helped a huge amount, The last picture was taken in poor lighting and so the people in the picture were very dark and not visible properly with photoshop i was able to add more light too them giving them a good brightness and allowing you too see them. I think the best photo there is the second to last one, this is because the person is not aware I was taking the photo which gave me a good natural look, the depth of field created by the unfocused background gives your a sense of 3d.

Lo1 Bulb photography

      Bulb photography is a shutter speed setting on an adjustable camera that allows for long exposure times under the direct control of the photographer. With this setting, the shutter simply stays open as long as the shutter release button remains depressed.

Lo1 Wide Angle Photography

This image has been taken with a wide angle lens which captures the whole of the building from left to right. Using the wide angle shot makes the building seem important and large by taking up the whole shot. The sky in the background is mysterious making the building stand out looking like it could stand there for decades. By using a wide lens on the camera it allows you to shoot the wider landscape allowing the audience to see more into the photo.

Lo1 Chris Saunders Photography

Chris Saunders has been a photographer for over 10 years, during which, he has photographed many well known authors, actors, film directors, musicians, comedians and had the resulting work published in numerous publications worldwide. Clients include The Guardian, The Observer, Sony, EMI, Universal Records, Random House Publishing, & Harper Collins Publishing.

Chris mainly does portrait and  music photography going to live music events and he also did the Richard Hawley exhibition.  

 This photo is a low angle portrait, to capture the shot of Dizzee Rascal looking downwards on you which connotes his importance.

 This photo shows that the subject of this image is a magician, he is in the centre of the screen with a light on him, but there is also a woman in the background set on the rule of thirds, which hints at her importance to the magician.

 This shot uses black and white tones which connotes the simpleness of the photo, the woman at the front of the photo shows that she is the main focus of the photo as she is at the front of the line meaning we can see her full body.

 This portrait shot is very characteristic with the man looking down at his guitar and the blurred background. It also shows the audience that this man loves music because he looks like he is looking down at it similar to a father looking down at his baby. The blurred lights in the background bring all the focus onto the person and his guitar.

Lo1 Mark Harvey Photography

Mark Harvey is a Sheffield Photographer who started doing photography when he was in the Navy, he then moved on to do industrial photography  and culprit photography before working with young offenders and prisoners. 

I really like this wide shot as it shows the length of the bridge and how alone the two people are in such a huge space. The way the clouds are formed in the background connotes a calm, relaxed day with the photo also having minimal objects to focus on.

This shot is showing a man looking into his camera lens suggesting he is a photographer or at least interested in taking photos. The clouds give the shot a mysterious sort of effect as they are dark and cover the whole sky. This is a low angle shot with the camera being the largest object showing it's importance in the photo. 

I really like this shot although its very simple. We can gather the wellies belong to a young group of boys and girls and we suggest they are just about to go on an outdoor trip. The wellies are in focus showing they are the most important objects in the photo.
